Are you the child of an elder who is moving out of his/her home or who has passed away, leaving a houseful of belongings to disburse?  Are you in a time-crunch, handling the many decisions and emotions associated with the change in your parent's life and perhaps working and caring for your own family?  We're here to handle the logistics and alleviate the stress.

Do any of these stories sound like your situation (click here)?

Are you an older adult moving out of your family home into an adult community or senior living center?  Have you given any thought to how you will handle the logistics of closing down your 2, 3, 4, or 5 bedroom home -- what will fit in your new space?  Where will all the other things go?  To whom will you send your favorite treasures?  What is best to sell on eBay or Half.com and what is best given to charity?  Who will keep accurate records of your donations for your tax returns?

Do any of these stories sound like your situation (click here)?

If you're feeling overwhelmed deciding what to take, what to give away, what to sell, and what to throw away, contact HomeBridges --  Don't wait until you're sitting on your or your mother's living room floor surrounded by boxes and near tears. We take good care of your treasures and handle all the troubles too!

Perhaps you are not moving at all -- but you know eventually you will and you want your children to know the history of your favorite possessions.  You want them not to fight over your belongings when you move or pass away.   You want to leave them with a record of your thoughts and feelings.

We have a subsidiary called Hand it Down.  Hand it Down will come to your home, help you organize and gather your most precious items, and videotape you with these items.  You can tell the story of when you purchased the item, or who gave it to you as a gift and why.  You will help your children, friends, and other relatives understand why you hold these things dear.

Upon the birth of their first child, a husband gave his wife a simple gold necklace with a small pearl pendant.  By the time the third child was born, their fortunes had improved greatly, and the husband gave his wife a diamond tennis bracelet.  While she wore the necklace and bracelet all her life, she never shared the history of the jewelry with her three children.  Because of the videotape, her children learned this history, and upon her death the oldest child was thrilled to receive the necklace even though its monetary value was much lower than the bracelet.  He gave his wife the necklace upon the birth of their first grandchild, carrying on his parents' love.
