Business Plan Development: Developed business plan for international public relations firm’s move into World Wide Web marketing, public relations, and promotions. Provided rigorous analysis of industry potential. Recommended utilizing the Web as a tool to promote clients’ images, brands, and products. Determined dual business focus, product offerings, client demographics, promotions plan, and human resources strategies that matched client’s skill set and culture.
Operational Process-Improvement: Created computer model enabling financial services client to quantitatively and qualitatively determine advertising goals, methodologies, expenses, time-lines, break-evens, and bottom-line potential, improve decision-making processes, and comprehensively analyze effectiveness of campaigns.
Market Research: Analyzed potential market response to new Virtual Private Network technology that enables organizations to communicate efficiently and inexpensively with remote salespeople, customers, and suppliers. Devised dual approach marketing plan based on discussions with potential customers, industry participants, and experts in target industry associations.
Marketing Ideation and Implementation: Conceived, wrote, designed, and marketed The RoundTable Retailer, a periodic newsletter used as a business builder. Articles include "The Seven Deadly Sins of Retailing" and "If You’re Not Serving the Customer, You’d Better be Serving Someone Who Is." Quoted in national business publication.
Entrepreneurial Brainstorming: Teamed with client on new technology ventures, including a start-up bio-remediation firm and a Russian-American technology transfer center. Researched opportunities and other models—from private enterprises, universities, and government agencies—and reported findings. Wrote portions of plans; conducted venture capital search.
Corporate Culture Analysis: Designed and implemented culture analysis survey and led focus groups to determine differences in an organization’s environment across genders, "races", ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, years of service, levels of hierarchy and other factors.
